Tesorillo independence depends on one document

belen_jarillo (Agencies) The head of the Local Autonomous Entity (ELA) of San Martín del Tesorillo, Belén Jarillo (photo), yesterday announced that in order for the town to become an independent municipality (an ELA is a prior step to its own Council) from that of Jimena de la Frontera, a single document is needed to present the segregation plans to the Junta de Andalucía. €600 fine for putting out rubbish before 9pm

bad smell (Agencies) The ELA (Local Autonomous Entity) of San Martín del Tesorillo, headed by Belén Jarillo, has issued orders to the Local Police to begin enforcing a law whereby putting out domestic rubbish before 9pm and after 8am is subject to a fine of up to €600. Particular attention will be paid to bars and restaurants. “There is no need to spoil the village with bad smells when the law is there, ready to be applied,” said Jarillo.

Part of an illegal building in Tesorillo to come down

24.03.09 Demolicion edificio ilegal Tesorillo (3)Demolition has begun on the top part of a building in San Martín del Tesorillo, which as granted building permisson by the Local Autonomous Entity (ELA in its Spanish acronym) despite the fact that it was taller than the law allowed. In a long running dispute with the ELA (run by the PP), Jimena Council (PSOE) withdrew its town planning competency. The building, which is designed to house offices and medical facilities, is being adjusted to law by its developer.
