(Press release) Registration for the Municipal Flamenco School, announced here last week, has extended registration by a day. The list was supposed to be closed today but given the large amount of interest, the Council’s Culture Department decided to extend the deadline until 3pm tomorrow. See details on link.
A mobile ITV unit will be in Jimena tomorrow from 9am to 1pm at the Sports Pavilion to facilitate regulation tests of these vehicles.
Spanish-speaking actresses of all ages are being sought for an amateur theatre group. Casting and/or registration for future activities will be held on Saturday, October 10, from 6 to 8pm, at La Casa Verde, just below the Town Hall in Jimena village.

(Agencies) The Budget for 2010, presented on Monday in Madrid by Elena Salgado, Second Vice-President and Minister for Economy (photo), and subject to much negotiation, includes a total of €239,930,290 for the Campo de Gibraltar. Most of the money (58%, or €140,824,000) would be scheduled for the Algeciras Port Authority.
