Something we didn’t include in our previous report on the subject: there is a meeting on Tuesday, May 13th, at the Reina Sofía Cultural Centre in Estación (time is unspecified, but call the Town Hall on 956 640 254 or 956 640 255 to find out) with all those who are or may be affected by this measure. DRUG HAULS AT MAXIMUM
The Guardia Civil and the National Police have seized 26,199 kilos of drugs in the Campo de Gibraltar so far this year, compared to the 25,001 kilos seized in 2006 for the same period. More facts: during the first three months of this year they have caught more than the total for 2006; the total street value of the hashish hauls alone amount to €37 million.

A previous post advised owners of property along the Cañada Real de Manilva, which in Jimena runs from Estación to Pasada de Alcalá, that procedures have started to mark the boundaries (deslinde) for this stretch of public land.
