This is the cover for the DVD of the film we’ve been going on about lately (and which seems to have had us too occupied to post about anything else…).
The notes read:
JIMENA, ENTRE TIENTOS Y HABANERAS
… a film that tells of the past and present of the International Music Festival of Jimena de la Frontera, dedicated to building bridges of sound and culture between Spain and other countries. The film has a special emphasis on the seventh edition of the festival, which had Cuba as its guest country.
The film records the views of the people who have lived the language of music and folklore with the only thing that counts: their hearts.
We have to admit to a sense of pride that the photos used on the back were taken by Marcelo and Alberto Bullrich and first appeared here on JimenaPulse. The next step is to find out when the film will have its showing in Jimena. Let’s hope we are not the last to see it in Spain, as too often happens with films made here… Watch this space!
(Question: “What are tientos and habaneras?” If you know the answer, make a comment by clicking below, where it says ‘No Comments’. And yes, we know what they are… smug b******s)

Prospero,
Could you try to find out where copies of the film can be bought? I was not in the country when the estreno was held in Madrid and would really like to see it.
