THOUGHT FOR A HOT SUMMER

Not all chemicals are bad. Without chemicals such as hydrogen and oxygen, for example, there would be no way to make water, a vital ingredient in beer. Dave Barry

POLO IN JIMENA

Exciting, fast matches, dodgy umpiring,
intense watching and cheering on, as well as time for a natter.
The winning team, Malmaison, whose patron, Richard Aspland-Robinson (2nd from r.),
brought out three grooms, twenty horses, two pros and had Carl Watson on his side.

If you’ve driven towards the coast over the last few days, you will have caught a glimpse of polo being played near Marchenilla. The Tres Rosas Polo Club (click here for the website) at Las Bridas has been holding a couple of tournaments. Prospero, in his ever-present nosiness, has been down there to watch. This, of course, in preparation for launching a site dedicated to the game, in time for the next season.
