NATIONAL HOLIDAY FRIDAY
This Friday, October 12th, is a national holiday all over Spain. It is el Día de la Hispanidad, or, loosely translated, Spanish Heritage Day. It used to be a celebration of Spain having ‘discovered’ America until political correctness set in, and it was changed to a celebration of all things Spanish. Expect banks and shops to be closed.
