The (very expensive) mosaic on the square is in danger

Copy of PICT0010The mosaic set into the floor of Jimena’s Plaza de la Constitución, a.k.a. El Paseo, is showing serious signs of deterioration. This could be due to a distinct lack of policing at peak usage time, in the evening when the children are playing, or to lack of protective measures. The work of art was installed as part of the renovation of the square, and carried out by British mosaic artist Stephen Windsor-Clive, who lives in Gaucín and specializes in creating mosaics as the Romans did.
