Tree fell on electricity cables, still there 14 days later

rotura arboles puente 013 A reader sent in these photos yesterday of a eucalyptus tree that fell on some electricity cables in her ‘forgotten corner’ of the municipality. She adds the following comment: “On the 26th of August this tree fell down clear across the bridge near Venta la Fuente, at 23.00h.>

Police, Guardia Civil and Bomberos had to come to cut the thing and clear the road. Today it still dangles on the telephone line! School starts this week and the school bus has to pass over the bridge. With the strong winds over the last few days things have just gotten worse.
