With a total budget of €216,100, work will begin this month with the exception of Los Barrios, which started a week ago, and “should be finished by the end of the year,” says De la Encina.

All improvements include modifications to station accesses that include parking for Persons of Reduced Mobility (PRMs), new signs, new tarmac for parking areas, as well as PRM ramps to the platforms and yellow non-slip tiles at the edge of the platforms.

La Almoraima, San Pablo and Jimena will also have their platforms raised. (Comment: Let’s hope the San Pablo station, a request stop with its delightful restaurant, La Estación, isn’t to badly affected.)
