14,000 tons of compost

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA         (Press release) The Mancomunidad de Municipios del Campo de Gibraltar is making available to farms of the district a total of 14,000 tons of organic compost at no cost, the product of the Sur de Europa treatment plant.>

According to Mancomunidad Vice-President for Sustainable Development Fernando Gómez, the project is carried out with the cooperation of the Provincial Delegation for Agriculture, whose experts will advise farmers requesting it. Accreditation of its organic nature is being presently processed through the Ministry of Agriculture.

The compost will be delivered to the farm, also for free. A new ‘Compost Call’ number is being made available: 690 965 652 between 8am and 6pm.
