A-7 at San Pedro to be closed – for 18 months

sanpedro The main A-7 coast road, as it enters San Pedro de Alcántara, will be closed for at least a year and a half because of the construction of a tunnel. Over the last few days, traffic heading to Málaga has been diverted via Guadalmina to the crossing for the Ronda road. To start with, the road will be closed in only one direction, but>

in less than two months it will be closed altogether. Traffic is expected to eventually benefit from the work being carried but heavy backups can be expected during at least the next two summers. That was the reason Marbella Council requested the central government to abolish tolls while the work was being done. The petition was denied.
