About Jimena de la Frontera, the province of Cadiz and Spain as a whole, focused on this small village in the mountains

‘I smile because I have no idea what’s going on’

The headline’s what is written on a little box given to Prospero by some good friends (who are also supplying him with healthy food while he’s ill). And that’s how he feels right now. Eager to get on with his life, but still a little weak, he’s having trouble knowing where to start with even a brief news update. “A week’s a long time in the news business,” he says tongue somewhere in his face. So instead, we’re putting up this movie of the Swiss Drum Band for your enjoyment (it had even Prosp tapping his toes, but that might have been something to do with St. Vitus). The last minute is fantastic! Oh, and thanks to our old friend Currini, who sent it in.

I really love the drums (can´t play them) and this is really entertaining. But in the time honoured tradition I have a video reponse which can´t fail to bring a bigger smile anyones face.

Wow… well as a past member and drummer of HMS Ganges Bugle Band I really appreciated this excellent display of drumming…. so thanks Prospero and Currini.. for sharing it! :)

Whilst not as versatile or slick as the Swiss Drum Corps, we were nevertheless pretty good (they loved us at Clacton) and we did get to that year’s Royal Military Tattoo at Earl’s Court in London in 1969/70. Happy memories! :)

Sorry to hear you’re a little under the weather Prospero… and I wish you a quick recovery!

Saludos! :)

Many thanks for your good wishes, Cybernest! Am on the slow road to recovery but not yet strong enough to tackle a long backload of blogging.
You wouldn’t by any chance have any movie or whatever of your band, would you? Or even set me on a path of discovery to the Gib Regiment band that I could put up? It would be wonderful!
