THE RAILWAY STATION IN SAN PABLO

Yes, it’s true! This unique restaurant is one of the most charming in the area. And the food is excellent, too! It is a special experience well worth trying. (Click on pictures to enlarge)

Nieves Rodríguez and her son Samuel transformed what was once a fully-fledged railway station, and still is a request stop, into this charming restaurant full of character and detail. But one goes there for the food, too. Indeed it is difficult to recommend any particular dish as we have yet to try something we didn’t like. It is a good idea to book ahead, especially on weekends, but a sunny weekday lunch on the platform with trains whizzing by every so often is a fun, delicious experience. Nieves has excellent English, too (and her folder and menu will soon be in that language).

AND YOU CAN LEARN SOME SPANISH HERE, TOO! Mixed conversation get-together on Saturday afternoons at 5 p.m.
