Abandoned horses to find homes in Holland

Thin_abandoned(Agencies) Six horses that had been abandoned by their owners left yesterday on their way to Holland from the CyD SantaMaría recovery centre in Alhaurín el Grande, Málaga. Algeciras-Madrid train service to be suspended for at least three months

IMG_8428.jpg(Agencies) The Algeciras-Madrid-Algeciras train line is to be suspended for at least three months because the track between Algeciras and Bobadilla is being replaced, acording to Renfe. An alternative bus service linking Algeciras with Málaga, Ronda and/or Bobadilla will be set up. Algeciras and La Línea, cheapest square metres

AlgecirasPlazaAlta (Agencies) A new survey by Sociedad de Tasación places Algeciras and La Línea among the cheapest places in Andalucía in terms of the price the square metre for new building. The survey marks Marbella as the most expensive, followed by Málaga and Cádiz cities. The price in Algeciras is €1.494 p/m2 (down by 3.1% over the first half of this year) and La Línea, €1.614. By comparison: Marbella €2.299, Cádiz €2.256, Málaga €2.075.

Andalucía Tennis Experience tournament

CarlaSuarez (Agencies) The Andalucía Tennis Experience women’s tournament was held in Marbella’s Puente Romano Hotel last week, perhaps as a preamble to the upcoming Davis Cup elimination round to be played at the Puerto Banús bullring in July. After a hard week of play the final saw Serbian Jelena Jankovic up against Spain’s own Carla Suárez (photo).>

British man faces charges for leaving baby in car at Málaga airport

malaga_airport A British man who left his 14 month old baby in his car in Malaga Airport car park could face a 15 month prison sentence for neglect of a minor.
