Over 1 million cubic metres of beach lost in Sotogrande

Greenpeace blasts Campo coastal destruction
(Agencies) In its annual report on Spain’s coasts, titled ‘Destruction at All Costs’, the environmental pressure group’s Spanish chapter blasts the state of the coastline of the Campo de Gibraltar. Anybody living in Jimena through a summer and a winter can tell you that the difference between the seasons can be astounding. As we took a walk through the village this morning, we took a picture of the Hozgarganta river bed: dry as a bone. It sometimes floods in the winter… Spain, a land of contrasts.
Water and rubbish collection discounts
The Campo de Gibraltar’s water and rubbish collection company. Arcgisa, is offering discounts to large families, pensioners and businesses, which have been available since February.
