Scruffy finds a new home
Our recent item about Scruffy elicited the following e-mail: “Thanks for your help, your site has found a new home for Scruffy. Can’t thank you enough!” We’re glad and grateful, and thank you all for taking care of Scruffy. We’re sure he will love his new home.
Scruffy needs a home – urgent!
(Received by e-mail) Approx. 7 months old. Very child-friendly and affectionate dog. Will be fully vaccinated and castrated. House trained. Knows the commands ‘sit’ and ‘out’! Loves walks but needs a bit of leash training. Gets on well with our other dog and two cats but we’ve just not got the room for him. He was found on top of the slide in the Paseo, flea-ridden and starving. He’d eaten car oil and was in a bad way, the vet treated him and told us just to take him home and if he lived he’d be a very lucky dog! Loving home wanted for a very special dog. PLEASE!! Algeciras animal shelter is not taking in any more ‘guests’
(Agencies) Further to our recent report on animal refuges being overwhelmed all over Spain, the Society for Protection of Animals and Plants of the Campo de Gibraltar, whose pound is at El Rinconcillo in Algeciras, has regretfully decided they can not take in any more dogs or cats until September because more are being brought in than adopted.> Read the rest of this entry »
