Cajasol has joined a campaign promoted by the Red Cross and Entreculturas (’Inter-cultures) with a double objective:
- If your mobile is functional it goes to a second-hand market whose profits goes to finance humanitarian, educational, cultural and environmental projects managed by the two NGOs.
- If your mobile doesn’t work its compnents will be recycled according to regulations that respect the environment.
The procedure is quite simple: Every Cajasol office (there are four in our municipality) has available a bag into which you place your mobile and then you take to a Post Office (Correos) at no cost to yourself. Do it! If your mobile doesn’t work, or better yet, if you have upgraded to a new one, take a little time for the benefit of others.
It’s as well to remember, too, that putting a useless mobile into the rubbish is highly contaminant, especially because of the battery.
