GIB OPPOSITION WANTS MORE APE CONTROL
The GSLP-Liberal opposition coalition on the Rock is demanding that the government exercise better control over the ape population, especially in the Catalan Bay and Both Worlds areas. The request arises from an attack suffered by a woman at Both Worlds and several reports that the apes have a habit of climbing into homes and vehicles causing havoc and considerable property damage. The press release containing the demand says that the GSD (in government) made campaign promises about this matter ‘but five months have gone by and nothing has been done.’
(Prospero comment: Visitors to Gibraltar are advised to take extra care with the Rock apes as these can be aggressive and thieving - as I myself can attest, having lost a large ice-cream to a larger ape, who proceeded to cool down its genitals with it.)
