After a meeting held yesterday with Spanish Secretary of State for Europe, Bernardino León, Gibraltar’s Chief Minister Peter Caruana announced that Gibraltar would begin removing the New Flame wreck from the Bay of Algeciras at the start of the New Year.
The meeting had been planned some time ago and was actually about the Tripartite Forum. It was held in Málaga, Mr. León’s home town. Amongst other things, Mr. Caruana came away ‘very pleased’ with the informal talks.
