Allow us to present Pedro Gómez Moreno. He is the man behind the belén (nativity scene) that is an annual Christmas feature at the Pensioners’ Day Centre. As President of that centre, Pedro has been instrumental in making sure that all kinds of facilities have been added to that most pleasant of places, including a good pool table and computers connected to Internet, free to all members. The bar there, run by Antonio, offers excellent ‘pensioner’ prices for such things as coffee, drinks and tapas. Plus, you can find out about everything available to pensioners, like trips, discounts, etc. and there is an on-site Social Worker to help with any legal matters that may be a worry.
Pedro Gómez is a retired master builder and still shows a dab hand at it. A visit to the centre will give you an idea, but in case you can’t make it, here are some more photos of Pedro’s work, in miniature!

Yes, we hear you ask: “What’s ‘the crapper’??’ Watch this space for an upcoming feature on the belén.
