The image of La Borriquita (The Little Donkey) was only recovered about three years ago as a processional figure and may have been brought from elsewhere when the present priestly order, the Oblates, took over the diocese. The only Holy Week procession in Jimena is that held this morning, Palm Sunday. Starting out from the Nuestra Señora de la Victoria Church, the image known as La Borriquita (The Little Donkey) is carried down the main street to the church on San Francisco, where a Mass is held.
